The official borotakeaways.com website is due for launch end of October / beginning of November (date still to be confirmed) and we are looking to recruit more takeaways and restaurants within the Teesside, Darlington and North Yorkshire areas. This will enable us to provide more choice and value to our forthcoming online customers from the date we launch.
What the role entails
It will involve visiting local takeaways and restaurants to discuss the borotakeaways.com service with the owner/manager and hopefully convince them to sign up for our three month free trial offer.
We will provide you with a sales pack and all the forms required to sign up a restaurant. This is a temporary job and the work you do (number of successful sign-ups) will determine how much you earn. This would be a great opportunity for local students or sales person willing to work evenings/weekends.
What income can you expect?
We will pay you £25 for each successful sign-up.
About borotakeaways.com
Borotakeaways.com offers a unique service in that we are only recruiting local takeaways and restaurants and therefore we can offer them a much more dedicated and personalised service. This includes regular online/offline advertising and promotion of their establishments plus a local support service.
If you are interested in the above opportunity please contact us at the email address provided detailing why you feel you are the right person for the job.

With healthy eating and fitness being the subject of much debate, takeaway food does tend to get a bad reputation. But given the pace of modern life it is little wonder that we end up opting for the easy way out in ordering a takeaway.
I am more that guilty of this sin myself! Having been a fitness freak (went to the gym 6-7 days a week for nearly 4 years), increasing family and work commitments resulted in the healthy lifestyle being knocked on the head. However I’ve now decided to get back to former fitness and therefore healthy meals need to be back on the daily menu.
The problem being is that healthy eating can not only be relatively expensive but it often takes an age to prepare. So… how nice would it be to be able to get a regular healthy takeaway meal? Easy, quick and no guilt pangs that you get straight after you’ve whopped up that lovely Bolognese Parmo! But I digress.
Although Boro Takeaways will predominantly cater for the traditional takeaway outlet (Indian, Chinese, Pizza etc) there’s nothing to say that we can’t bring healthy food to our customers.
So… we are thinking about targeting places like brunch or sandwich outlets and pasta or noodle bars. We can also suggest that our current takeaway partners come up with low-calorie healthy options where the nutritional content is highlighted and show the ’syn’ ratings for those who are on the Slimming World plan. We can then create a takeaway menu on our site that just lists the healthy options for you to choose from.

With places like sandwich outlets on board we can even cater for the all-day trade. So, fancy a sandwich for lunch? No bother – Order online at borotakeaways.com. If you are having an all-day business meeting, why not order some healthy snacks online to be delivered.
Mmmm food for thought! What do you think?

Well in a nutshell, it means that you will be able to order from your local takeaway online (as long as they decide to register with us!). But that is not all. There are many other features and benefits that we have planned for the site that should enhance both our customers’ ordering experience as well as help our takeaway partners interact with their customers – therefore improving their service offering.
For now we would like to share some of the key features we have planned for you…
- Customer loyalty and points scheme
- Specify delivery or collection
- Ability to specify a delivery time (ie order at work for delivery at home)
- Pay by cash on delivery or secure card payment online
- Ability to order from multiple local takeaways on the one order
- Choose from special online offers or meal deals from select takeaways
- Regular competitions where you can win discount vouchers, plus maybe more
- Save your favourite order for easy retrieval
- Tell a friend button (about your favourite Parmo!) and add to social media websites
- Incentives and reward schemes (ie for recommending a takeaway)
- Takeaway rating systems and the option to leave feedback
- Latest local takeaway news and developments
As the site develops and we get feedback we will look to add additional features. If you have any ideas yourself in the meantime, please let us know and we’ll bear them in mind for future updates. If you have any questions on the above features, just ask away!
Kind regards,
The Boro Takeaways Team

Hello, and welcome to the first post of the Boro Takeaways blog. Now if you’ve visited the site in the hope of ordering your local takeaway online, then I’m afraid you are a little too early, and for that I apologise. In that instance might I suggest Biancos in Eston (fine fine Pizzas) on 01642 459945 or Pizza Pan in Acklam (Parmos) on 01642 822122. Just let them know who recommended them!
If you are slightly out of the Middlesbrough area then unfortunately I cannot offer any suggestions (just yet!). Not to worry though, my team and I are on the case and will be approaching as many takeaway food establishments as we can throughout Teesside, Cleveland and North Yorkshire – once we get our sales act together. We also plan to offer some tasty incentives to those who can persuade their local takeaways to sign up to Boro Takeways.
Just so you know, October is our focus for the launch date – the website and backend systems are being developed as I write this and we are currently mapping out our PR, sales and marketing strategy. Hopefully come launch date we have enough takeaways and restaurants in our catchment area to make sure everyone gets a fair slice of the pie (or pizza as it may be).
That’s it for the first post. There will be plenty of developments over the coming days, weeks and months to keep you updated (and hopefully interested). We look forward to your continued feedback and support to make this service a thriving success for the region.
In the meantime why not become a fan on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/borotakeaways and be eligible for future discount offers, competitions and other incentives. And if you are a Twitterer you can also follow our Tweets at www.twitter.com/borotakeaways.
Happy eating!
